JP BORSINI

Jean Pierre Borsini was born in Sydney Australia in 1966 where he has lived his entire life. Having always had an affinity with the ocean his early childhood was spent working and playing amongst professional fishermen and surfers, a tough breed of men the ocean traditionally attracts. They became the catalyst for some of the characters he writes about.

 

In 1985 at the age of eighteen he established an ice cream boat business in Sydney Harbor selling goods to the secluded beaches within the Harbor. It is a business he owns to the present day, which has seen him become an iconic Sydney Harbor celebrity rubbing shoulders with both local and international celebrities.

 

His professional life has always been on the water commanding a variety of different vessels for both the private and commercial sector, as well as operating his own businesses. His commercial experience spans from commercial diving, research vessels, and tug operations to large passenger carrying ferries and exclusive charter work for the rich and famous in the private sector. He also plays an active role in Ocean Conservation donating his Masters services to the Sea Shepherd organization as a delivery Master for their fleet of ships.

 

His varied experiences have resulted in him publishing three novels all based around the ocean and his adventures as well as making public speaking appearances on a variety of topics. He currently works as a Tug Master in Sydney Harbor and Botany Bay assisting large ships navigating the ports. He is married with one daughter and spends every day in or on the ocean living the dream. He travels several times a year in search of the perfect wave. That search continues….
